Eckhart Tolle Notes

2011.08.06 - Heard about Eckhart Tolle from a guy I did street activism with. He said that there's a guy in
Manchester (where we were doin our street stalls) that was doin events about his stuff... just sitting in
silence... and people would pay him for it... I found that quite interestin cuz when I did music tech at
college back in 2008, I heard about John Cage's 4'33 and actually went out one day specifically to
listen to traffic... BUT! the first thing I ever saw of Eckhart was his talk called 'Finding Your Life's Purpose'
released in (2008.10.01)

2011.09.27 - Started watching 'Finding Your Life's Purpose

Found it difficult to pay attention to, since Eckhart's talkin speed and tone of voice was making me drowsy...
I think it took 3 or 4 watches to get through the whole thing lol

This was the only speaker I've struggled to keep listening to, but I really wanted to hear what he was saying
cuz I'd never heard anything like it before... whenever I find something new, I'm always curious. What he
says in this talk was making quite a lot of sense to me too, and almost challenging the kind of person I was.
So I made sure to watch the whole thing! And when I finished... I'm glad I did! Turns out to be the best
videos I'd seen in a while! Probably the best talk he's ever done too!

I'd recommend it to EVERYONE (maybe above the age of 18? lol)
